We are in the middle of a two-week foodie extravaganza, otherwise known as dineLA Restaurant Week. From January 18th to 31st, over 300 restaurants in the Greater Los Angeles area will feature special lunch and dinner menus at affordable prices. We know that it can be challenging to search through the entire list of restaurants to come up with a few to visit. To help you decide, we’ve compiled a list of 10 restaurants that we think you should try during dineLA:

1. ediBOL

If you’re not already familiar with the booming Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore the area, while partaking in the lunch/dinner dineLA offering at ediBOL. Created by the owner & chef, Andrea Uyeda, this unique and cozy restaurant offers multitudes of delicious and healthy bowl options that artfully combine fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Recommended Dish: Miso Peanut Ramen


2. Birch

Price: Dinner $39 | Menu

Birch is one place you must absolutely stop by during the dineLA Restaurant Week. The restaurant boasts a light and airy interior, perfect for a fun evening dinner with family or friends. Chef Brendan Collins has prepared a 3 course dinner menu, which generously includes a choice of house signature cocktail or glass of wine.

Recommended Dish: Palm Sugar Glazed Pork Chops


3. OTUS Thai Kitchen & Coffee

Craving for some Thai food? Try this new restaurant in West Hollywood, near the Farmer’s Market. For just $29, you can enjoy their spring rolls, pad thai, tom yum soup, and roti dessert. With modern and minimalist interior design, it is no brainer.

4. Nick & Stef's Steakhouse

Planning a date? You won’t make a mis(steak) by visiting Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse. They are offering a two-course meal for lunch, and a three-course meal with wine pairing for dinner. If you happen to be a filet mignon lover, you can choose to substitute it in for $19. Perfect for a romantic dinner for couples.

5. Viviane

Chef Michael Hung’s new restaurant (opened 3 months ago) is located in the iconic Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills. Start with Foie Gras Mousse, Crispy Duck Leg Confit for the second course, and end with a dessert, Meyer Lemon Tart, for only $49 per person. Chef Michael Hung created an incredible menu that will make you want to go back again and again.

6. Hanjip

Chef Chris Oh’s new restaurant in Culver City is a perfect place to visit with your friends during the dineLA Restaurant Week. For lunch, grab a choice of a rice bowl and the marinated prime beef short rib. For dinner, grab a choice of prime beef, Kurobuta pork and a side. My personal preference for the side is Kimchi Fried Rice.

7. Del Frisco's Grille - Santa Monica

Del Frisco's Grille is a sophisticated and trendy chophouse chain. For the $15 lunch menu, you get starter, entrée and dessert, with a selection of fish tacos, grilled prime cheeseburger, chicken wrap or banh mi sandwich for entrée. For the $49 dinner menu, you get an upgraded version of the menu, with a choice of roasted chicken, wild salmon, grille prime cheeseburger and prime beef shortrib stroganoff.

8. Estrella

Price: Lunch $20 | Menu

Estrella is a well-designed restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor seatings. It only offers lunch menu for the price of $20 with a selection of 3 items for both starter and entree. You can pick Peking Duck, White Bean Bisque or County Line Chicory for starter. For entree, you can choose Crab Cake "BLT", Roasted Delicata Squash or Grilled Skirt Steak. To end your meal, you can add $6 for dessert with a choice of Oro Blanco - Rosemary Panna Cotta or Bittersweet Chocolate Caramel Bar.

Recommended Dish: Crab Cake "BLT"


9. THE Terrace

Price: Lunch $20, Dinner $39 | Menu

Located in the historical and beautiful Langham Huntington Pasadena, The Terrace hired a new chef, who created a new menu. For the price of $20, you can choose either an appetizer or a dessert, along with an entrée. For the appetizer, you can choose either Broccoli Green Tea Soup or Blistered Shishito Peppers. For the entrée, you can choose Duck Confit Pizza, Gochujang Burger or Chicken Adobo. For the dessert, you can choose either Caramel Apple Cheesecake or Bread Pudding. For the price of $39, you have a choice of selections from the appetizer, entrée and dessert.

10. Hinoki & The Bird

An upscale and Japanese-inspired California cuisine restaurant, Hinoki & The Bird offers a special dineLA menu with a price of $105. You get a Local Albacore, Fennel “Pozole”, Santa Barbara Uni, Smoked Short Rib and end with Guanaja Chocolate Zenbu.
